The Bribery Act seeks to enhance the UK’s anti-bribery legislation by introducing new offences and doctrinal reform:

• Agreeing to receive, requesting or accepting a bribe or bribes in the UK or abroad
• Greater transparency and tighter regulation of facilitation and corporate hospitality payments
• Bribery of a foreign public official in order to retain or obtain business
• Corporate liability, including directors and officers, for failure to prevent a bribe being paid by those who operate services; for or on behalf of the organisation
